Beautiful sceneries in Croatia

Croatia has one of the beautiful sceneries that you can not expect. The park is so beautiful such that it can be compared to Paradise. The National park attracts a total of one million tourists annually. What's this that attracts such a huge number of tourists to this park? What are its fascinate features? Follow me through this article;

1. Astonishing ancient creatures

Bones of Pleistocene bears which are extinct have been found in the caves whereby it was their habitats. Still to date there are still living species in those caves since there are no industries that can disturb the ecosystem. They include the tinest snails, moths, crickets and millipedes.

2. Presence of many lakes and waterfalls

There is a total of 16 cascading lakes and 90 waterfalls in plitvice Lakes National Park. The lame constitutes upper and lower lakes. Upper lakes amounts to 12 while the lower lakes amounts to 4.

3. Changing water colours from green to blue

Plitvice lake waters does not remain in constant colours. Its colours ranges from bright green to deep blue and faded grey. Reasons to its changing characteristics is due to the presence of minerals, organisms and also the position of the sun. Calcium carbonate also from limestone rocks also contributes to the changing of colours. 

Lake Plitvice is one of the destinations that you have to visit if not. It's a place of great fun and enjoyment.

List of extinct animals in the world

Here comes a list of 4 animals that existed but at the moment they are extinct. A number of reasons could have led to their decline including; competition for food, human activities such as poaching and climatic changes. 

1. Willy Mammoth

At the top of the list here comes the woolly mammoth that is compared to the present day elephant. It's body was covered by fur and it's tusks curved to a length of 5m. They also had a height of up to 3.5m and a weight of 5.5 tons. The mammoth became extinct became extinct 10000 years ago due to the destruction of its habitat and poaching.

2. Sabre-toothed cat

Number two on our list is the Sabre-toothed cat. This creature existed about 55 million years ago to 10000 years ago. They had bladelike canine since it was a carnivore. Climate changes and declining of its prey among other reasons led to it's extinction.

3. Dodo

Number three is the dodo. It was a flightless bird that existed up to the 17th century. It weighed a total of 10-15 kg. Its said that it was flightless due abundance of its food such as seeds, roots, and fruits. There were also no predators at the moment but later on sailors invaded them and their hunting led to the extinction of the dodo

4. Stellers Sea Cow

This mammal was named after a naturalist who discovered it in 1741. It grew up to 8m long and weighed up to 10 tons. It was hunted by humans due to its inability to submerge deep inside water. After some time of of its discovery it became extinct due to hunting
